Hey! So nice to speak with you! Can you tell our readers a little bit more about yourself? Where are you originally from and where do you live now?
My name is Bill Weatherford, and I’m originally from Lafayette, Louisiana; a place known for its warmth, community spirit, and southern hospitality. I now live in Los Angeles, California, where I own and operate SoftWave Vitality, a regenerative therapy clinic focused on helping people heal naturally. Before starting this chapter of my life, I spent over 20 years in pharmaceutical sales leadership. On paper, it looked like success but deep down, I knew I was meant to do something that made a more personal impact. My journey to SoftWave Vitality began when I healed my own shoulder pain through SoftWave therapy, and it completely changed my direction and purpose.
Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?
I love the diversity and energy of Los Angeles. People here are passionate about wellness, innovation, and living authentically. There’s a strong sense of possibility in this city and that’s exactly what SoftWave therapy represents: the possibility of healing and living pain-free without surgery or medication.
Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?
SoftWave Vitality is a regenerative therapy clinic and the only stand-alone SoftWave TRT practice in California. We focus exclusively on SoftWave Tissue Regenerative Therapy (TRT), an FDA-cleared technology that uses unfocused shockwaves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. My story started personally. After years of shoulder pain and being told surgery was my only option, I tried SoftWave therapy and within 12 sessions, both shoulders healed naturally. That experience inspired me to bring this technology to others. In April 2025, I opened SoftWave Vitality in Los Angeles with zero patients and one machine. Within a few short months, we served over 430 new clients and earned 36 five-star Google reviews. What sets us apart is not only our specialization but our personalized, compassionate care. Whether it’s a professional athlete or an unhoused neighbor, every client is treated with the same respect, attention, and hope for full recovery.
What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won’t forget about?
One client told me, “You didn’t just heal my shoulder; you gave me my life back.” That moment reminded me exactly why I do what I do. It’s not just about pain relief; it’s about restoring people’s ability to live fully, play with their kids, get back to sports, and feel like themselves again.
If someone wants to start a business, what's advice that will help them?
My advice is simple: don’t wait for perfect start with purpose. When I opened my clinic, I had never run a business before. I started small, with one room, one machine, and a clear mission to help people heal. What I wish I’d known sooner is how powerful it is to build support around you early on. Trying to do everything yourself limits your growth. Find people who believe in your vision, invest in good systems, and stay consistent. You’ll figure out the rest as you go. The key is to stay authentic and lead with heart.
Where do you see your company in the future?
Our vision is to expand SoftWave Vitality across California and beyond. We plan to open two more clinics within the next 18 months so that more people can access this life-changing technology. We’re also building a nonprofit arm to help people who can’t afford treatment. One of the hardest parts of this work is seeing someone get incredible results after a first session, but not be able to continue because of finances. Healing shouldn’t be limited by money and we’re committed to changing that.
What is the biggest misconception about your industry?
The biggest misconception is that SoftWave therapy is just another pain treatment. It’s much more than that; it’s about regeneration, not just relief. SoftWave activates your body’s natural healing processes at the cellular level, helping to repair damaged tissue and reduce inflammation long-term. It’s not a quick fix; it’s real healing.
What has been one of your biggest struggle building your business and how did you deal with it?
My biggest struggle early on was trying to do everything myself; treating clients, handling operations, and managing marketing all at once. It became overwhelming fast. I learned that true growth comes from delegation and teamwork. Once I hired an assistant, brought on a strategist, and partnered with an ad agency, I was able to focus on what I do best: caring for patients and building relationships. That shift transformed the business.
What was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?
Growing up, my favorite music artist was Queen. Their music was powerful, bold, and timeless and Freddie Mercury’s energy and authenticity always inspired me to live unapologetically. As for athletes, I admired Greg Louganis. His precision, grace, and mental toughness were unmatched. Watching him perform taught me a lot about focus, resilience, and pushing past fear qualities that have carried into how I approach business and life today.
Any shoutouts you want to make?
Absolutely. I want to thank my team from my executive assistant to my marketing partners and my strategist for helping bring this vision to life. And most importantly, a huge shoutout to our clients, who trust us with their healing and share their stories so openly. You are the reason SoftWave Vitality exists.
