Hey! So nice to speak with you! Can you tell our readers a little bit more about yourself? Where are you originally from and where do you live now?
Hi, I’m Kauthar Khalid! I’m originally from the beautiful coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya, and now call Dallas, Texas, home. I’m passionate about Kaymocktails and love bringing any celebration to life with creative setups and décor. When I’m not crafting memorable moments, you’ll find me traveling to new places, enjoying quality time with family and friends, or hunting down the next delicious restaurant to try!
Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?
One thing I absolutely love about living in Dallas is the vibrant mix of cultures and experiences. From the amazing food scene to the creative event community, there’s always something inspiring happening around every corner!
Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?
Kaymocktails started from my passion for creating unique, beautifully crafted mocktails and memorable experiences for celebrations. Our company specializes in designing customized mocktail bars and setups for events, from birthdays to weddings, ensuring every detail reflects our clients’ vision. We help our customers by taking the stress out of planning, adding a touch of elegance and creativity to their special moments, and creating experiences that their guests will remember and talk about long after the event
What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won’t forget about?
One piece of feedback that really stuck with me was from a client who said our mocktail setup “made their celebration feel magical and completely stress-free.” Hearing that our work didn’t just look beautiful but also brought joy and peace of mind to someone’s special day reminded me why I started this business in the first place.
Where do you see your company in the future?
I see my company growing into a trusted leader in the non-alcoholic beverage industry, with Kaymocktails featured at weddings, corporate events, and everyday gatherings across the country. Eventually, I’d love to see our own product line in stores so people can take a piece of Kaymocktails home with them.
What is the biggest misconception about your industry?
The biggest misconception is that mocktails are boring or just juice. In reality, they’re crafted with the same creativity, balance, and sophistication as cocktails—just without the alcohol. Every sip can be an experience.
What has been one of your biggest struggle building your business and how did you deal with it?
One of my biggest struggles was starting with limited resources while wanting to deliver a luxury experience. It forced me to get creative—focusing on quality, building strong relationships, and growing step by step instead of all at once. That mindset has shaped Kaymocktails into a brand that values intentional growth.
What was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?
Growing up, I was drawn to the music of Beyoncé and Rihanna, and I admired Ibtihaj Muhammad in sports. Each of them, in their own way, taught me the value of resilience, passion, and believing in big dreams—principles I still carry into my work and business.
