Hey! So nice to speak with you! Can you tell our readers a little bit more about yourself? Where are you originally from and where do you live now?
So lovely to meet you. I'm Keiko Wedding. I was born and raised in Japan, and I moved to Los Angeles because I wanted to become a Makeup artist.
Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?
In about 20 minutes from here, I can get to the mountains, the ocean, and the city, and enjoy the cultures and cuisines of many ethnic groups.
Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?
I work as a hair and makeup artist primarily in the entertainment industry in Hollywood. My passion lies in helping people express themselves through unique and character-driven looks. I specialize in creating makeup and hair designs that highlight the best qualities of each individual, tailored to their personality or specific character roles. My work helps clients feel confident and authentically embody the persona they wish to portray, which is especially important in the entertainment industry where appearance plays a vital role.
What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won’t forget about?
When they see the finished work in the mirror, all their feelings can be seen on their face.
If someone wants to start a business, what's advice that will help them?
It would be good to start by talking to people who have already achieved the goals you want to reach and then actually try to do the actions they take yourself.
Where do you see your company in the future?
I want to provide the same high-quality work that brings joy not only to professionals in the entertainment industry but also to people in facilities and hospitals.
What is the biggest misconception about your industry?
I don't have it.
What has been one of your biggest struggle building your business and how did you deal with it?
One of my biggest struggles in building my business was dealing with cultural differences from the culture I grew up in. I realized that I needed to first understand the different approaches and ways of expression before I could communicate effectively.
What was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?
I’ve always enjoyed music classes, and from a young age, I was really drawn to composers like Mozart, Vivaldi, and Debussy. Their music inspired me and sparked my passion for the arts early on.
