So nice to meet you! First off, what’s your name? Tell our readers a bit about yourself—where you’re from originally and where you live now.

Adam Ratliff - I was born and raised in Texas, spent some time in Florida and now currently living in Burleson Tx. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and solving problems, which naturally led me into the RV industry. Over the years, I have developed a passion for helping people get back into enjoying their RV's and the adventures that come with them.

Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?

One of the things I love most about Burleson is the strong sense of community. Even as the city continues to grow, it still feels like a place where neighbors help neighbors and relationships matter. As a local business owner, that's important to me because it allows me to build long lasting relationships with customers and serve the community I call home.

Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?

Ratliff Mobile RV provides mobile repair maintenance, and inspection services throughout the Dallas - FT Worth area. The business started with a simple goal: make RV service easier and more convenient for owners. Instead of customers to tow their RV to a dealership and wait weeks for repairs, we bring professional service directly to them.

We handle everything from electrical and plumbing issues to appliance repairs, roof inspections/ replacements, preventive maintenance and more. Our goal is to provide honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and dependable service so our customers can spend less time dealing with repairs and more time enjoying their RV's.

If someone wants to start a business, what advice will help them?

Don't wait until everything is perfect before you start.Have a plan, work hard, and be willing to learn as you go. Building a business takes patience, consistency and a commitment to taking care of your customers. If you focus on providing value and doing the right thing, your reputation will become one of your greatest assets.

What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won't forget about?

One of the most memorable compliments we have received was from a customer who told us " You treated our RV like it was our own" That meant alot because it's exactly how we approach every job. We understand that an RV isn't just a vehicle - it's where families make memories, travel and spend time together. Knowing our customers trust us with something so important is incredibly rewarding.

Where do you see your company in the future?

Our goal is to continue growing Ratliff's Mobile RV while maintaining the same level of customer service that got us here. As we expand, I want us to become the go-to mobile RV service provider in the Dallas- Ft Worth area. Known for honest communication, quality repairs, and dependable service. Most importantly, I want to continue building a business that customers feel confident recommending to family and friends.

What is the biggest misconception about your industry?

There's a running joke in the RV industry that RV stands for "Ruined Vacation." While its meant to be funny, many RV owners have experienced the frustration behind it. One of the biggest misconceptions is that RV repairs are always quick and simple. Modern RV's combine electrical, plumbing HVAC, appliances, electronics, and automotive systems all in one unit, which can make diagnosing issues complex.

That's one reason we started Ratliff's Mobile RV. We wanted to help change that narrative by providing convenient, professional service that gets customers back to enjoying their RV instead of waiting weeks for diagnosis and additional weeks for repairs.

What has been one of your biggest struggles building your business and how did you deal with it?

One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth while maintaining the level of service our customers expect. As demand increases , it can be tempting to take on more than you can realistically handle. We've addressed that by focusing on organization, communication, and setting realistic expectations with our customers. Building trust has always been more important to us than simply increasing volume.

What was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?

Growing up I was always more interested in music than I was sports. Some of my favorite artists were Casey Donahue and Bart Crow. Their music captures the Texas spirit and storytelling that I have always connected with. As for athletes I never really followed sports closely enough to have a favorite.
