Founder Interview
Betty Gabbaie
Focus on your goals and don't get distracted by setbacks. Keep hustling!

So nice to meet you! First off, what’s your name? Tell our readers a bit about yourself—where you’re from originally and where you live now.
Betty Gabbaie. Grew up in La Jolla, California, and now live in Los Angeles.
Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?
The weather and my community of friends and family.
Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?
Zentap helps real estate agents stay top of mind on social media and helps them market their listings.
If someone wants to start a business, what advice would you give them?
Focus on your goals and don't get distracted by setbacks. Keep hustling!
What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won't forget about?
An agent told me that after struggling for years to stay consistent on social media, a listing video Zentap created for her led directly to a referral from a past client who said they'd been "seeing her online." That stuck with me because it's exactly the outcome we're chasing: not just content for content's sake, but real business results that make agents feel proud of their brand again.
Where do you see your company in the future?
We hope to scale so we can help professionals in other industries with our services.
What is the biggest misconception about your industry?
That marketing automation makes agents replaceable, or that it's "spammy" and impersonal. In reality, the best automation in real estate marketing does the opposite — it frees agents up to have more real conversations by handling the repetitive content and consistency work in the background. People assume tech and authenticity are at odds. At Zentap, we built the whole business on proving they're not.
What has been one of your biggest struggle building your business and how did you deal with it?
Early on, the hardest part wasn't the product — it was convincing a notoriously relationship-driven, tech-skeptical industry to trust software with something as personal as their brand. A lot of agents had been burned by tools that overpromised and underdelivered. I dealt with it by leaning into education over selling — showing agents exactly how the tool worked, being transparent about what it could and couldn't do, and letting results build trust instead of trying to talk people into it. Slower, but it's how you build something that lasts.
Who was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?
Bon Jovi and Magic Johnson.
Any shoutouts you want to make?
A huge shoutout to my younger brother, Benjamin, who founded Zentap. Getting to lead the company he built is a privilege I don't take lightly, and none of this happens without his vision.
