Tiffany Richardson, founder of Step Into Wholeness in Jacksonville, Florida

So nice to meet you! First off, what’s your name? Tell our readers a bit about yourself—where you’re from originally and where you live now.

My name is Tiffany Richardson and I hail from Chicago, Illinois. I'm the second oldest of 16, and I'm currently nestled in Jacksonville, Florida, where I have lived for the past 27 years. I am a life coach, motivational speaker, and author. My life has quietly been dedicated to service to others for over 20 years now, just in various forms. I started out as a chef, working at Golden Corral and nursing homes. I later transitioned and became a caregiver for the elderly, which I absolutely loved, as it gave me an opportunity to learn, evolve, elevate and build lasting relationships with amazing people along the way. I am currently a life coach, and have been for the past 6 years, where my main focus has been taking all of my life experiences, the good, bad, and definitely the ugly, and giving all of the knowledge, tips, and tools that I have acquired on my journey back to people who are now where I once was. So, they can avoid the traps and pitfalls that I had to go to hell and back to escape, in the hopes that someone else's journey would be just a little smoother and less painful and, most importantly, more enjoyable and meaningful.

Tell us one thing you love about where you live now?

One thing that I absolutely love about living in Jacksonville is the weather, more specifically, the rain and hurricane season. Mix that with being surrounded by nature and I'm in heaven.

Tell us a little bit more about what your company does and how it started? How does it help your customers?

I started my business in 2020 during covid. At that time, I was dealing with a back injury and working light duty as a caregiver. It was a trying time for myself and many others, so I took that time of great change for everyone and decided to use it for my benefit. I chose to do a complete reset of my life and became a life coach, to be a guiding light for others on their practical and spiritual path. Step Into Wholeness is more than just a spiritual life coaching business; it's a journey towards self-discovery and a deeper connection with the divine. Our approach is rooted in the belief that true fulfillment comes from building an unbreakable bond with the Most High and becoming the best version of ourselves. We guide our clients towards uncovering their inner truths, overcoming obstacles, and creating a life that aligns with their spiritual values. Through personalized coaching sessions, we help individuals tap into their inner strength, heal past wounds, and step into their full potential. Our ultimate goal is to empower our clients to live a life that is whole, authentic, and deeply connected to their spiritual purpose. Step Into Wholeness is dedicated to bringing healing to the mind, body, and soul. We believe that true healing goes beyond just the spiritual level, and encompasses all aspects of one's life.

If someone wants to start a business, what advice would you give them?

The best advice I would give someone when starting a business is: be gentle and patient with yourself, as this is truly an amazing yet sometimes difficult road to travel. Give yourself grace, as things may take longer than you would like, and just know that what seems like delays in your plans is God's way of preparing you for what's on the other side of everything you are working hard for. So, never give up on yourself!

What was one feedback from a happy customer/client that you won't forget about?

The most memorable feedback I received from a client was when I was told that a client felt seen and not judged by me, allowing her to be her authentic self and truly make the necessary changes in life that she had struggled for years trying to make on her own.

Where do you see your company in the future?

In the future, I see my company expanding globally with spiritual retreats across the world, which will provide the foundation for me to expand service to humanity by opening spiritual centers and various community programs as well. These will focus on soul healing, and provide shelter, food and practical help such as home and job placement to empower the collective to build/rebuild their lives on all levels and to truly be happy, healthy, and whole.

What is the biggest misconception about your industry?

The biggest misconception about this industry is that coaches and leaders are perfect and know all of the answers to the world's problems. Which is, so not true! As we go through the same ups and downs as everyone else, the only difference is we typically go through trials and tribulations first. So, we can overcome them and turn around and teach it to the masses.

What has been one of your biggest struggle building your business and how did you deal with it?

The biggest struggle that I found while building my business is the fact that you initially have an idea, but you don't know how and where to start to get it off the ground and make it a reality. I dealt with it first by coming up with the idea and writing out a plan of action to figure out what I could learn and do on my own to get started. Then, when I felt like I did everything I could do, I reached out to coaches who were exactly where I wanted to be and who had successfully overcome all of the same obstacles I was facing and would be able to point me in the right direction. I took all of the tools that they offered and applied them day after day, until I completed one whole project, and just continued with that approach until I felt comfortable enough to start putting my own spin on things. Lastly, I listened to my intuition as well to guide me along this journey.

Who was your favorite music artist and athlete growing up?

Growing up I loved all genres of music, but I particularly loved R&B. I loved and still do love Brandy, Usher, Ginuwine, Mariah Carey, etc. I loved Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Dominique Dawes as well and admired them deeply. I even envisioned myself as a young Dominique Dawes plenty of times.

Any shoutouts you want to make?

I would like to shout out my mom and my dad, as well as the rest of my family and friends, for all of the love and support that they give me, as it makes this journey that much sweeter.
